Hokies-Wolfpack impress Bond

Ahoskie (N.C.) Hertford County receiver LaMarcus Bond has narrowed his list to six schools which includes Auburn, Miami, North Carolina, North Carolina State, Virginia and Virginia Tech. The 5-foot-8, 174-pounder with 4.4-second speed took in an unofficial visit to the North Carolina State-Virginia Tech game this past weekend.
"It was a really great experience, both teams looked great," he said. "Both of them are recruiting me as a receiver and they had some really good receivers out there. I was really impressed with how both teams played, they were alright. The game atmosphere was very exciting and loud too."

The No. 9 prospect in North Carolina talked to coach Diaz and Tramain Hall on his visit.
Bond still hasn't set up any official visits.
The three-star prospect and his Hertford County teammates lost this past weekend 41-21 to Washington.
"I scored twice, once on a punt return for a touchdown and then once receiving," he said. "I was happy with my performance, but I had to step it up because four of our starting players didn't play. That was a big problem all night."
Coaches have started to call Bond since September 1st.
"I've gotten calls from Auburn, North Carolina State, Michigan State and UVA," he said. "They mostly just ask me about my football season and talk about their season. It's nothing too big."
