Hokies, Vols, Wolverines for DB

Cornerback and wide receiver Marcus Turner is a big-time recruit out of Voorhees (N.J.) Eastern.
The 6-foot-1, 175-pounder has received interest from schools including Tennessee, Michigan, Virginia Tech, Boston College, Rutgers and North Carolina, although he's hoping to hear from Clemson and Florida in the future.

This season Turner helped Eastern to an 8-4 record as they reached the playoffs. He went on to record 30 catches for 400 yards and three touchdowns on offense. On defense, Turner posted 20 tackles and four interceptions.
"I think I played better my sophomore year," he said. "I had a new quarterback this year, but I improved on my speed and route running. This was also my first year playing corner, so I really improved on running the defense."
Who's at the top of Turner's list right now?
"I'd say Virginia Tech, Tennessee and Michigan," he said. "Mostly I'm interested in them because of their recent performances over the past few years."
Turner is currently being recruited as both a wide receiver and cornerback, does he have a preference?
"I'd rather play wide receiver," he said. "But I don't mind playing cornerback either."
Turner grew up a fan of Miami and said if they came around, he'd definitely favor them.
This spring he plans to attend Rutgers upcoming Junior Day and is looking into attending one of the Nike Camps. He's also been invited to the Blue Chip Combine on May 2nd at Rutgers.
