Hokies lead for Jersey FB/LB

Michael Green is a two-star fullback/inside linebacker from Westville (N.J.) Deptford, and is ranked as the No. 22 player in the state according to Rivals.com. He has a clear leader, and could make a commitment before the year is over. Who leads the way?
“Right now, Virginia Tech is far and away my top choice. They are really recruiting me the hardest out of my leaders. They have a great coaching staff, good players, and a long tradition for football.

“I also really like that they are moving to the ACC, because they will be in a tougher conference.”
Green also lists Indiana, Minnesota, Virginia and Miami as schools he is interested in. Of those, all but the Cavs and 'Canes have offered. In addition, he took an unofficial visit to Rutgers, which he liked a lot. As for official visits, he plans to take them later in the process.
When it comes time to make a decision, he wants to finalize it before the year is over. Green says the biggest factor for him will be how soon he gets to play, and how he will be able to contribute. He notes that all the schools are recruiting him for fullback, with most also saying that he could play linebacker.
So far, Green has had a tremendous season for Deptford. Over the summer he improved his 40-yard dash speed to 4.65 seconds, and has helped lead his team to a 4-0 record.
