Hogue could decide in the next week

Yonkers (N.Y.) Roosevelt running back Doug Hogue is closing in on a decision. The 6-foot-3, 210-pounder has been down to Syracuse, Penn State and Maryland for a bit and plans to make his decision within the next week.
"I'm not sure whether I'll play through the season or decide sometime this weekend or next week," he said. "Right now I'd say more than likely I'll decide soon, but I am not leaning any one way. Instead, I continue to look up all three of the schools on the internet to check out their programs more and academics."

Hogue went in depth about what he likes about each of his finalists.
Syracuse: "I like their coaching staff a lot as I feel very comfortable with them. I also like that they picked up a good class last season with a couple of solid offensive lineman. Being a running back, I've got to look at those things to see what's best for me. Finally, they have a nice campus and it's really exciting to be in that dome."
Penn State: "I really like the way their community is set up. Everyone is nice and close and I like that, but I also grew up a fan of them and have been watching Penn State for a long time and they are one of my favorite teams."
Maryland: "The thing about them that caught my eye the most was when I went to Maryland and met the coaches. I like coach Sollazzo a lot because we have a lot in common since he's from West Chester. I also like that they have had success recently with Vernon Davis sending players to the NFL."
The two-star prospect earned all-league and all-section honors after rushing for 1,463 yards and 12 touchdowns as a junior.
