Hogs pick up Georgia fullback

Arkansas just picked up a verbal commitment moments ago from one of the top fullback prospects in the country in Jahron Brown. Brown, 6-0 and 218 pounds, is from Dallas (Ga.) East Paulding High School.
"I just got off the phone with Arkansas and coach (Lorenzo) Ward," Brown said. "I just verbally committed to them. They were the biggest and best school that has offered me. I really like coach Ward. He's cool. It's the SEC and Arkansas is a good school. I have not talked with coach (Bobby) Petrino yet but I really like his offense and I know he likes the big back. I will play fullback or be a single back for them."

Arkansas offered Brown a few weeks ago. He almost committed at that time.
"I almost did and I wanted to. But I wanted to check them out a little bit before and I wanted to get to know them a little better. Like I said, I really like their offense and I think I will fit in well there."
Brown has not been to the University of Arkansas yet. He is a three-star prospect and the No. 6 rated fullback in the nation.
Brown's team is 7-1 on the season. They play Cherokee this weekend.
Western Carolina was Brown's lone offer before Arkansas.
