Hogs, Noles or Tigers for Georgia DT

Three-star Newnan (Ga.) defensive lineman Earnest Mitchell Jr. expects his college choice will come from one of three schools at this point.
“I’m looking at Arkansas, Florida State and Clemson,” he said. “It will more than likely be one of those three. Those are the ones I’m going to visit.”

Mitchell (6-1, 280, 4.85) has visits set up for Arkansas on Jan. 16 and Florida State on Jan. 23. Clemson is still up in the air, but could be the 9th, 30th or a mid-week trip.
“They’re all about the same to me,” Mitchell said when asked to name a favorite. “They’re all good programs with tradition and a good situation as far as me coming in and helping them, so my visits will decide where I end up going.”
The Seminoles are widely regarded to be the team to beat for the nation's No. 24 rated defensive tackle.
Asked if he would still be interested in Arkansas if head coach Houston Nutt accepts Nebraska’s job offer, he said: “Yeah, I’m still going to check them out. I liked enough things about them when they recruited me besides the head coach.”
Mitchell capped his senior season with 146 tackles, 27 quarterback hurries, 21 tackles for loss and 10 sacks in helping lead Newnan to a 12-2 record.
