Hogs fading for Magnolia OL

Three-star Southaven (Miss.) offensive lineman Josh Winchell says he’s re-thinking one of his official visits that was previously scheduled.
“I was going to go to Arkansas on Jan. 16, but I don’t think I’m going to make that trip now,” he said. “I went up there for an unofficial visit, and things didn’t go too well... I better leave it at that.”

Winchell (6-5, 310, 5.0) said his current top three consists of South Carolina, Ole Miss and Memphis. He’s also considering Michigan and Nebraska for visits.
“I have a visit for South Carolina on Jan. 9 now,” he said. “We changed the date on that one. I haven’t got Ole Miss and Memphis set up yet, but those are the other two.”
Asked what makes those his co-leaders, Winchell said: “With Ole Miss and Memphis, I really like the fact that they’re so close to home. We live about 15 minutes from Memphis, and Ole Miss is only about an hour from here. I like my chances of coming in and playing a lot for them, too.
“With South Carolina, it’s mainly Lou Holtz. The man’s a legend. I’d love to play for him. So I’m going to go out there and see what it’s like, try to decide if it’s better than the two schools closer to home.”
Winchell is rated the No. 24 offensive guard in the nation by Rivals.com.
