Hogs commit still solid
Little Rock (Ark.) Mills safety/running back Elston Forte burst onto the recruiting scene early in the summer with several impressive camp performances. He went on to garner scholarship offers from Oklahoma State and Arkansas before committing to the Hogs in late July. Is he still solid?

“Oh yeah, I’m still committed to Arkansas 100-percent,” Forte said. “Oklahoma State and Memphis have called and they are still trying to recruit me and they want me to come on an official visit, but that is about it. I haven’t decided whether I will take a visit there or not yet, but it would just be for fun because I am going to Arkansas.”
Forte, 6-foot-1, 190 pounds, runs the 40-yard dash in 4.46 seconds. He has a 225-pound bench press and can do seven reps on the bench press.
“I went to game this week and it was really exciting,” Forte said. “I thought Arkansas had them, the quarterback made a mistake, but I thought they still might win. A loss like that hurt me, that kind of thing gives me motivation and makes me want to work harder.”
So far, in Mills first two games this season Forte has 16 tackles and four deflected passes. He has also rushed for two touchdowns.
“I am probably going to go to the Louisiana-Monroe and Alabama games at Arkansas the next two weeks,” Forte said. “Just being there and watching Arkansas play is very exciting for me. It really gives me motivation to work hard this year so I can be out there next playing and not sitting on the bench.”
During his junior campaign Forte collected 46 tackles and three interceptions. He also has a solid 2.9 GPA.
