Hoge ready for SEC visit

Tristen Hoge is taking a big weekend visit to Florida but another program is clearly in the lead early in his recruitment.
The four-star offensive lineman from Pocatello (Idaho) Highland recently returned from Notre Dame and the Irish absolutely are the frontrunners at this point.

"Notre Dame is my No. 1 right now," Hoge said. "That's all I can pretty much say is that Notre Dame is No. 1 and we'll go from there."
The 6-foot-4, 285-pound standout who looked good at the Rivals.com Underclassmen Combine in Dallas last summer said he liked the players, the coaches and the atmosphere in South Bend.
Pretty much everything Notre Dame has to offer is something that appeals to Hoge, who will be in Gainesville for the Florida State matchup.
"The last time I was there I got to hang out with the players," Hoge said of Notre Dame. "It was a good thing to do to meet the players and know what they do on and off the field. I like the coaches.
"They're top-notch and they're definitely the best coaching staff I met so far. Those two things really stood out and then the atmosphere of the game. I went there for the USC game and it was definitely the most authentic game I've been to."
An early commitment? It sure sounds possible.
"Right now I'm thinking about committing early," Hoge said. "I don't know yet."
In total, the four-star prospect lists offers from Boise State, BYU, Cal, Duke, Florida, LSU, North Carolina, Notre Dame, Oregon State, Penn State, Stanford, UCLA, Utah, Washington and Washington State.
