Hoey names top three
Shoreview (Minn.) Mounds View lineman Brandon Hoey made 45 tackles including 12 sacks during his junior season. He played both defensive end and tackle, and could play either position in college, or move to the offensive line.
The 6-foot-5, 260 pound Hoey, and honorable mention all-state selection, bench presses 300 pounds, has a 2.9 GPA, and scored a 23 on the ACT.

Asked about schools he is interested in, Hoey said, "The first three are the ones that offered, Wisconsin, Minnesota, and Iowa State. Those are the three that have already given me offers. I guess you could say that's my top three.
"But I'm hearing from a lot of colleges. Virginia is one of them. Nebraska, Michigan State, Arkansas, Ohio State, Air Force, Missouri, Kansas State, and Colorado.
"Most of them have called. I visited Wisconsin, Northwestern, Minnesota, Iowa State, Michigan State, and Nebraska.
