Hoey may be nearing a commitment
Shoreview (Minn.) Mounds View lineman Brandon Hoey has had seven scholarship offers on the table since mid-way through the summer. By the end of the summer Hoey may have selected his college.
"I have seven offers," Hoey said. "Those are the schools I'm looking at. Minnesota, Wisconsin, Iowa State, Colorado, Wyoming, Indiana, and Central Florida.

"I went to Minnesota, Wisconsin, and Iowa State's camps.
"I don't have a favorite. But I'd like to decide before the season starts. I'll probably make some more visits before I decide, but I'm not sure which ones."
The 6-foot-5 and 260 pound Hoey made 45 tackles including 12 sacks during his junior season. Hoey, who could play on either side of the line in college, is the No. 5 prospect in the state of Minnesota in the Rivals.com player rankings.
