Hobbs planning several visits

Defensive end Joey Hobbs of Mechanicsburg, Pa. has steadily seen more interest come his way in recent weeks. Now he is beginning to think about visits as he wants to gain more information on each of these schools.
"I get tons of mail from Pitt, Cincinnati, Rutgers, Penn State, Temple, Missouri, Maryland, Oklahoma, Nebraska, and a couple of smaller and Ivy League schools," said Hobbs, who is 6-foot-5 and 235 pounds. "Pitt, Penn State, Maryland, Missouri and Rutgers are recruiting me the hardest right now."

These five schools may be in line for visits from Hobbs.
"I'm going to the camps of those schools, and maybe their junior days," said Hobbs. "I'm definitely going to be going to a lot of places in the near future."
Hobbs is also attending the Rivals Camp Series presented by Under Armour in New Jersey on April 27th.
"I want to prove that I'm a top prospect that works hard with a motor like no other," said Hobbs. "I want to prove that I'm special. I want to maximize my potential and build strong bonds with the players as well as the coaches. And I want to prove that I've been working harder than whoever is there. Also, I want to show everyone I give no less than 100% on every rep. I have something prove. April 27th is my time to shine because I have faith in my training and my abilities."
This off-season Hobbs is working on improving a few specific parts of his game.
"Mainly my speed, conditioning, strength and to develop a mean bull rush because I'm more of a finesse defensive end/defensive tackle," he said. "I want to confuse offensive linemen and I want to work my hips so that I can learn my bend."
