Hitchens focused on two schools

Lorain (Ohio) Clearview running back Anthony Hitchens says his recruiting focus is down to a pair of schools.
The 6-foot-1, 195 pound prospect, who excels on both offense and defense for the Clippers, has an offer from Kansas, and may be adding one from Iowa soon.

"Kansas, Indiana, and Eastern Michigan are my official offers," Hitchens said. "But I have been talking to Iowa a lot, I should be getting an offer in the next month. Their coaches said they are waiting on one other player. If he does not commit, they I will get the offer."
Hitchens has not used any official visits, but has unofficially tripped to Kansas and Iowa.
"At both schools, I liked the facilities and meeting the players," Hitchens said. "I like seeing the campus, and meeting the people around the program. I liked both of them a lot. At Kansas, the football facilities stuck out the most. At Iowa, I really liked the people there more than the football stuff. Just being around the coaches and the players, it felt like I belonged there."
Hitchens does not have plans to visit other schools, but does plan to set official visits to Kansas and Iowa the next time he talks with those coaches.
"They are pretty much even," Hitchens said. "It is pretty much just Iowa and Kansas."
Hitchens said Kansas is recruiting him as a running back, and Iowa likes him as a strong safety. He is open to whatever position gets him on the field.
"My work ethic on and off the field are my best traits," Hitchens said. "And my unselfhishness with my teammates."
