Hippenhammer making the rounds

Fort Wayne (Ind.) Snider 2017 wide receiver Mac Hippenhammer holds three Mid-American Conference offers, but this season he has visited four schools that have yet to offer.

Hippenhammer's most recent visit was up to Michigan State just this past weekend.
"I liked it there and I like the people there. It's a great place," Hippenhammer said. "I had talked to Coach (Dave) Warner a little and he said just said he would keep following me."
Michigan State's opponent for that game, Indiana, is the school Hippenhammer feels could be closest to offering.
"I would say IU is showing the most love right now," Hippenhammer said. "Coach (Kevin) Johns, I talk to him almost every day. I think they are pretty high on me. They are interested in me for baseball too, so I would be able to play both there. I want to play both in college."
Toledo has already offered Hippenhammer to play both football and baseball. Other football offers have come in from Eastern Michigan and Miami (Ohio).
Prior to his Michigan State visit, Hippehammer made game visits to Cincinnati, Michigan and Notre Dame. He attended Michigan's Sept. 26 match-up with BYU.
"I talked to their receivers coach and he said he was going to come down and watch me play, that he is following me real closely," Hippenhammer said. "That has always been one of my top schools. I would love to go there. I really like the Big House because it would be awesome to play in front of that many people."
The 6-foot, 170-pound Hippenhammer is still in the midst of his junior season, preparing to lead his 8-1 Snider team into the sectional championship Friday night.
