Hilliard looks like top back in Hawaii

One of the top five players in Hawaii for the class of 2009 is Punahou (Hawaii) running back Dalton Hilliard. The athlete recently landed his fourth scholarship offer and has five schools at the top of his list.
Hilliard, 5-11, 180 pounds (no relation to the former NFL RB with the same name) is one of the top backs in the West. He's an explosive player, very quick with the ability to make you miss and is tough to bring down in the open field.

Hilliard has good vision, and a nice burst. He's able to hit full stride after just a few yards and enough speed to score from anywhere on the field.
On the recruiting front, Hilliard is being recruited at the national level by some of the country's true heavyweight programs.
"Colorado, Stanford, Notre Dame and Utah have offered me," Hilliard said. "I'm also hearing from UCLA, LSU, Cal, USC, Auburn and Florida.
"LSU is my top school right now and I also like Notre Dame, Colorado, UCLA and Florida, that would be my top five. At this point, I'm not sure what camp's I'll be attending. I know I'm going to the PIAA combine here in Hawaii as well as the NIKE Camp at Stanford.
"As for my college choice, I'm looking for a school with the best combination of academic support and a strong football program. I either want to major in Architecture or Engineering and that could play a role as well."
