Hill one of the best in the West

Tempe (Ariz.) McClintock running back Randy Hill is a humble guy and one of the state of Arizona’s best players.
When asked what he thought of the fact that some people believe he’s actually the best player in the entire state of Arizona, the only reply that the 6-foot-1, 200-pound running back could muster was, “it’s pretty nice to hear that.”

But Hill is backing up the claims. Through five games, he’s rushed for 800 yards and 15 touchdowns. Last year, he ran for 1,657 yards and 17 touchdowns.
Of course, college coaches are knocking down his door.
He’s scheduled two official visits so far – one to Oregon for Nov. 30 and one to Arizona State on Dec. 14. Washington, Oregon State, Cal, Arizona, Colorado State, USC and Georgia Tech are also in the picture.
Only USC, which seems to have the inside track on some running backs in Southern California, and Georgia Tech, which has plenty of options to choose from down South, have yet to offer Hill a scholarship.
So is Hill the best player in the state?
“I’ll just let my numbers do the talking,” he said.
