Hilinski set after Pac-12 trip

Tyler Hilinski recently took his official visit to Washington State and since he's been committed to the Cougars since late April it was an important trip.
The four-star quarterback from Upland, Calif., loved everything about it and his pledge is 100 percent firm. Recruiting for him is basically over.

"It just 100 percent reconfirmed everything that I thought," Hilinski said. "I loved the environment up there and it's really a family feel. I just can't wait to be a part of it when I get up there in January.
"Graham Harrell is one of their offensive assistants and I was hanging out with him and coach (Eric) Mele most of the time and we were going over film and all this stuff like the offense we're going to be running up there.
"I could just see myself there. It was really exciting. I'm starting to learn the offense. Totally focused on Upland but to get away for a weekend and experience what I'm going to be doing up there was nice."
Hilinski, rated as the No. 11 pro-style quarterback in the 2015 class by Rivals.com, went on the trip with fellow Upland teammate and Washington State commit Kameron Powell.
It was Powell's first trip to Pullman but he and his family had a great experience and Hilinski believes it only reinforced his commitment to the Cougars as well.
"It was huge," Hilinski said. "He has never been there before. He's been to Seattle but Pullman is totally different. Pullman is a small city.
"He came up with his mom and dad. They loved it and he loved it. The whole environment is just a special place. (Daquawn Brown) goes there so there are also a lot of guys he knows that go there so he could definitely see himself there."
So far this season, Hilinski has completed nearly 70 percent of his passes for 1,307 yards with 12 touchdowns and two interceptions.
