Hightower high on Minnesota
Mansfield (Texas) Summit outside linebacker Deon Hightower took his first official visit of the recruiting process this weekend to Minnesota. So did the Gophers make a move to stay at No. 1 at the top of list list?
“I want to take a few more visits, but I was really impressed with everything I saw at Minnesota,” Hightower, who is 6-foot-3 and 190 pounds, said. “They have a very good business program, and I was very impressed with their facilities. It’s an exciting time to be looking to play at Minnesota.”

But Minnesota does have some competition.
Hightower said he’s going to visit Tulsa next weekend and then Kansas is hoping to get a visit from him in January.
