Higgs adds South Carolina to visit list

Antwon Higgs is a three-star defensive end prospect from Pompano Beach (Fla.) High School. Higgs, 6-2 and 245 pounds, has already visited Purdue (officially) and he now has visits set up to both South Carolina (11-7) and N.C. State (11-28).
"I was talking with one of the N.C. State coaches (Mike Archer) and they seem really interested in me so I am really interested in them," Higgs said. "It's the ACC so I would get to play against Miami and Florida State. That would be fun. I want to check them out. They like me at linebacker or they know I will grow into a defensive end.

"I was supposed to visit South Carolina earlier this year but it got postponed. They like big linebackers and I know Donte'e Nicholls there. I also really like coach (Robert) Gillespie."
Higgs is also showing interest in Vanderbilt, Louisville and West Virginia as well as Purdue.
"I have visited Purdue and will see South Carolina and N.C. State. I am not sure who my last two visits will go to. I need to talk with the coaches again."
Pompano Beach is 2-5 on the season. They play Sunrise (Fla.) Piper this weekend.
