Hicks talks about summer plans

The recruiting process remains the same for one of the top safety prospects in the Lone Star State - Stephen Hicks.
The Whitehouse, Texas prospect received six written scholarship offers this spring from Colorado, Missouri, Nebraska, Oklahoma State, Purdue, and Tennessee. Next up for Hicks are camps and visits this summer as he tries to narrow down his list.

"I'm going to visit Texas just for a visit," Hicks said. "I was going to go down for a camp, but now Texas A&M will be the only camp I'm going to do this summer. Other than that, I'm just going to be working out and staying in shape. My dad is helping me arrange all my visits, so there may be more."
Two schools that have yet to offer are recruiting Hicks very hard going into the summer. Hicks says he receives tons of attention from Florida and Oklahoma.
"Every time I go to the mailbox, I have letters from both of those schools," Hicks said. "They have just been saying that they hope I'm interested as much as they area and to continue doing what I'm doing."
Hicks, who plans on making a commitment sometime in September, has the athleticism to play on either side of the ball. Though running back has been mentioned, he says the majority of the schools like him as a defensive back.
"It's mostly at safety," Hicks said about where he's being recruited. "Some of them have talked about running back and then some have also even talked about cornerback."
Even with all the interest and visits coming up, Hicks said he just hasn't had time to figure out his favorite school yet.
"I just haven't had the time yet," Hicks said. "I just don't know yet."
