Hicks taking his time

Baltimore (Md.) St. Frances defensive tackle Dyaire Hicks holds three offers. The 6-foot-3, 275-pounder is mulling some upcoming visits as he contemplates his options further.
"I still have offers from Rutgers, Temple and Marshall," he said. "I haven't been on any visits recently."

However, that may soon change.
"I'm planning to visit Rutgers soon," he said. "My coach said I might be visiting West Virginia sometime soon too. I haven't been going to camps lately because I've been concentrating on school work, but I'm back on my stuff now."
Rutgers is the biggest offer at this stage and Hicks is interested.
"I'm from New Jersey and I like Rutgers," he said. "I'm definitely looking into that. I like that they were the first team to heavily recruit me when I was in New Jersey. Then they stayed in contact with me and followed me to Baltimore. Plus, I like the fact the defensive linemen there are fit. They don't tend to be sloppy. That's my category too."
With a visit coming to Rutgers and potentially West Virginia, what does he want to see?
"I just want to see the new coaching staff at Rutgers," he said. "I want to take a look at the school and see what they've got up there now."
Hicks has no desire to make a decision anytime soon.
"I'm still waiting on more options during the season," he said. "I think I can get more after that, so it's just up in the air right now."
Hicks registered 59 tackles, 13.5 sacks as a junior while earning first team all-conference honors.
