Hicks only 75 percent sure

Omaha (Neb.) Creighton Prep running back Steve Hicks committed to Iowa State last month. So why was he in Lincoln this weekend?
"It was an unofficial visit," Hicks, who is 6-foot-3 and 215 pounds.

"I'm still looking at Nebraska. I'm committed to Iowa State, still, but it's only about 75 percent."
So what's changed?
"I talked with coach Solich and coach Bohl," Hicks said. "They heard that I had a great game against (Omaha) Central. I rushed for about 100 yards in the second half. They said they have the tape and will evaluate it.
"The big thing about Nebraska is that they always wanted me at linebacker, not running back. But now they have the tape and they will see what I did. I think it'll change their mind."
And if NU decides he's good enough for running back?
"Then I might have a big decision to make," Hicks said.
Hicks and Creighton Prep face Millard West next Friday.
