Hicks holds six offers

With the kind of interest that Whitehouse, Texas safety Stephen Hicks has been receiving, it's hard to keep track of all the offers.
At the NIKE Training Camp this past weekend at Texas Christian University, he wanted to compete but had to watch on the sideline because of a minor hamstring injury. Regardless, the 6-foot-1, 185-pounder came to the even with six written offers in hand.

"I have Oklahoma State, Nebraska, Missouri, Colorado, Purdue, and Tennessee," Hicks said. "There are some verbal offers, but those are the written ones."
Two more schools appear to be showing recent interest in Hicks. Texas and Oklahoma have both inquired about the talented defensive back.
"Texas came by my school and talked to my coach," Hicks said. "They want me to come down there, so I'm going to go there this summer for a camp. Oklahoma called my school and they've sent a lot of text messages. I think I'm planning a visit up there sometime over the summer too."
Hicks says that he would like to make his decision before he gets into his senior season.
"I'm thinking maybe in July or somewhere around that time," he said. "It will definitely be before football season."
After looking for an early commitment, it appears that he's opened things up and doesn't have any clear favorites at this time.
Hicks was an all-district safety as a junior with three interceptions. Two of those he returned for touchdowns.
