The 5-foot-10, 180-pound back talked about what he has heard from the Rutgers staff.
"They want me and they tell me that I can basically be the number one running back for their offense," Hicks said. "They just talk to me about going up there and balling out basically."
The Sunshine State back is interested in playing for the Scarlet Knights as he believes he fits well into their offensive attack.
"They run a similar offense to what we run and I feel like I would be a real good fit there," Hicks said. "I feel like I could be the next Ray Rice."
The 2014 back had a chance to visit Rutgers earlier this summer.
"I love it up there," Hicks said. "I didn't want to leave at all when I visited last month."
Hicks mentioned an interest in returning to Rutgers for another visit as well as taking a trip to Alabama. He reports interest from Cincinnati and South Florida.
