Three-star running back Anthony Heygood from Chester (Pa.) Cardinal O'Hara has just ended his last regular season of high school football and is gearing up for his final playoff run. He has still found time, however, to work toward his future, and has set up three official visits.
“I am going to Purdue on Dec. 12, West Virginia on Jan. 9, and Boston College on Jan. 16,” he commented. He added that these are the only schools that he is considering at this point, and notes that all are equal going into his trips.
“I am just looking at the schools’ academics, and their business and engineering programs,” he said. “I mean football is very important, but the academics are the big thing.” Heygood boasts a 3.8 GPA and has already scored a 960 on the SAT, so he is one of the true “student-athletes.”
Heygood stands 6-foot-2, weighs 210 pounds, and runs the 40-yard dash in 4.5 seconds. He is rated as the No. 20 running back in the country by Rivals.com, and has rushed for 1,100 yards and 16 touchdowns as a senior.
