Heygood heads to Big 10

Chester (Pa.) Cardinal O'Hara running back Anthony Heygood cancelled two press conferences because he was struggling so much with his decision. So what school did he finally sign with?
"Anthony is going to Purdue," said his mother, Leslie, of the 6-foot-2, 210-pounder. "It was tough decision for him and he went back and forth a couple of times, but Purdue was his choice in the end."

Heygood, who chose Purdue over offers from Notre Dame, West Virginia, Boston College and others, is headed to his favorite conference.
"He always liked the Big 10 and now he can play in it," said his mother. "He's excited."
As a senior this past season, Heygood rushed for 1,271 yards and 15 touchdowns on 148 carries, while catching five passes for 152 yards and two additional scores.
