Hess is taking more visits

Massive 6-foot-7, 285-pound offensive tackle Josh Hess took one spring practice visit recently and has plans to head out on two more in the coming weeks. Where is the Richlands, Va. lineman headed?
"I spent last weekend, a week ago at South Alabama," he said. "I flew down for a visit and they said they aren't offering out-of-state kids until later this spring, but they really like me. I liked it. Mobile is a nice place and they are putting a lot of money in football down there."

Two more trips are coming to Wake Forest and Marshall.
"I'm going to Wake Forest this weekend and then Marshall after that," he said. "The offensive line coach at Wake Forest thinks I'm an ACC player and wants me down on campus to watch spring practice. I was down for camp last summer. They are now coming into the picture.
"Marshall is still my only offer. I just want to see the coaching staffs on these visits and see how I fit in with them, get with them and see the campus, facilities and if there is a place I really fit in where I want to go to school."
Hess is hearing from Virginia and North Carolina too.
"They both plan on coming down in the spring to watch me workout and will offer based on what they see in the spring."
With that, Hess maintains no favorites.
"I'm trying to keep it open and make a decision before football season or during, no later than that."
