Hershberger setting up visits

Beau Hershberger has some official visits planned and he's hoping some more Pac-12 interest could roll in.
The Granite Bay, Calif., three-star outside linebacker who could also play defensive end said he has trips to Nevada, Colorado State and Navy coming up in January and he's also waiting to hear from two other teams.

"Oregon State and Cal keep in contact with me," Hershberger said. "I'm hoping things pick up with those two schools."
The Nevada trip is set for Jan. 18 but no other trips have been scheduled which allows Hershberger the flexibility to switch things around if needed.
His recruitment might pick up especially after Granite Bay defeated Long Beach (Calif.) Poly in the state bowl championship last weekend.
Hershberger, who finished with 90 tackles and five sacks in his senior season, played a big part in the victory and it was especially exciting since Granite Bay felt like the underdogs all week.
The three-star who shined at the Oakland NIKE Camp last spring said that was the mantra all week and it helped the team prepare for Long Beach Poly, which has a big reputation but also struggled early in the season before climbing back to the state title game.
"Words can't describe the feeling that our team has right now," Hershberger said after the victory. "Being the underdog we knew we were going to have to come in and play hard and physical and smart. That's exactly what we did.
"That was the motivation all week. People doubted our wins and said Poly was going to roll us. We shut it down. Everyone stepped up. Everyone came and played their best game of the season."
