Herron shows stuff at NIKE

Outside linebacker Brandon Herron definitely showed off what he could do at the NIKE Training Camp this past weekend. The 6-foot-2, 200-pounder made sure that everyone knew just what kind of linebacker he was. He also is quickly adding scholarship offers from all over.
Missouri and Utah offered first, but since the camp, UTEP joined the mix with an offer. The talented young man, staying humble, says that he has no favorites just yet.

"I talked to my coach and it's just too early to tell," Herron said about leading teams. "I don't want to jump ahead too much. I just want to take my visits after the season and go from there."
Herron feels confident that more offers are possibly on the way. Two teams in the Big 12 are showing heavy interest.
"Texas A&M, I talked to a coach there and he said they would have offered me at camp, but they couldn't talk to me there," he said. "They're going to come down on Friday and watch me at my scrimmage. Kansas State, I know I'm one of their prospects, but they don't know when they'll offer.
"My coach says it sounds like it could be soon."
Herron plans on going to camps this summer at both Kansas State and Texas A&M this summer. His coach also encouraged him to go to a third at Houston.
"I just have a passion for the game," he said. "Hopefully I can take this and make it to the highest level – which is the NFL."
