Herron riding some momentum

DeAndre Herron was one of the top linemen at the Columbus Nike Camp over the weekend and now he's riding some momentum that could carry him to more offers.
The 6-foot-4, 305-pound offensive guard from Avon, Indiana already has offers from Louisville, Southern Miss and several schools from the MAC.

Herron is hoping he can continue his solid play at summer camps and pick up more offers.
"I feel like the Nike Camp went good," Herron said. "I took as many reps as I could. I was getting after it. The defensive class was crazy. I was going against guys like Sheldon Day and Ondre Pipkins. Just knowing I did well against them feels pretty good. I feel like I did well."
Herron said he plans on attending one-day camps at Michigan, Michigan State, Kentucky, Tennessee and Louisville. Those camps will give him an opportunity to work out for the coaches but they will also allow him to check out the schools at the same time.
Herron said he doesn't have any favorites at this time.
What's he looking for in a school?
"Whether they have my major (marketing or broadcasting), the graduation rate and how early I can start playing," he explained.
