Herron hopes for certain offer

Just a few scholarship offers is not the same story now for Sugarland (Texas) Fort Bend Dulles linebacker Brandon Herron. Those first three have now been joined by several others.
The 6-foot-2, 198-pound outside linebacker had quite the NIKE Training Camp and now has more offers than he knows what to do with at this point. Michigan State, Northwestern, Minnesota, Oklahoma State, Kansas State, Nebraska, Arizona, and Texas Tech are just a few of his offers. Several other schools are showing heavy interest and could be joining the party soon.

"Well, I've got a lot more now," Herron said since NIKE. "LSU is recruiting me hard, Alabama called me in May, and Texas has been talking to me quite a bit as well. Michigan hasn't offered, but if I wanted to commit, I don't think they'd say no."
Herron doesn't have offers from those three schools, but two of those look like possible destinations.
"Texas is at the top," Herron said. "I'm going to the camp on Sunday and if I do well, maybe I can get an offer. If they do at any time, I'll commit. After that, it would be LSU. I like the programs and I think I would fit in well with them. Plus, I wouldn't mind being on the same team as Sergio Kindle."
Other than the Texas camp, Herron doesn't have any other plans at this time other than to keep working out in the off-season and get "bigger."
