Herron has camped at Indiana and Cincinnati

DeAndre Herron has received offers from Louisville, Southern Miss and several MAC schools and he's been hoping to pick up a few more offers this summer.
The 6-foot-4, 305-pound defensive tackle from Avon, Indiana has known for a while that he would need strong camp performances to boost his stock and he recently attended two camps at regional schools.

"I've camped at Cincinnati and Indiana so far," Herron explained early this week.
"I think everything went good at Cincinnati. I'm just one of those types of players that goes out and works hard. Either the credit comes super late or it doesn't come at all."
Unfortunately, Herron wasn't able to talk to the coaches at Cincinnati, nor was he able to see much of the school.
It seems like he got a much clearer picture of campus life at the Indiana camp.
"Indiana went great," he said. "I talked to everybody. I'm cool with everybody on the coaching staff."
Herron said he hasn't started to narrow his list down yet and he doesn't know which schools will make the cut whenever he does.
What does the rest of the summer hold in store for him?
"I know I want to go to Kentucky and I know I want to go to Tennessee and Michigan. Those are the only camps I know of for sure," he concluded.
Herron is rated a three-star prospect by Rivals.com. He is planning on making a decision before the start of his senior year at Avon but noted that "anything could happen" and didn't rule out official visits.
