Following his official visit to Utah back in early September, Escondido (Calif.)
San Pasqual defensive end Marquez Herrod said there was a chance he might go ahead and end the recruiting process and commit to the Utes. The talented lineman has since decided to take a few more visits before pulling the trigger.
Herrod, 6-3, 220 pounds is one of the top rush ends in the region and has double digit scholarship offers thus far. He took a visit to Utah (Sept. 9) and loved it.
"Yeah, I was ready to commit," Herrod said. "I still like Utah a lot, they're way up on my list but after talking with my coaches and some loved ones, I decided it was best to take a few more trips so I had something to compare Utah to. I didn't want to make an emotional decision or have any regrets so I'm going to take a few more visits.
"I'm going to Fresno State this weekend and Oregon State (Nov. 11). I'm also going to set a date with Boise State probably sometime in between the visit to Fresno State and Oregon. I want to commit soon so that's why I'm setting all my visits for during the season."
One school Herrod said he's not hearing from any more but would like to is UCLA.
"Yeah, I don't know what happened, they just kind of stopped calling," Herrod said. "At one time, it sounded like they were close to offering but I haven't heard from them in about a month. That's definitely my top school and if they were to offer, I would probably commit on the spot."
San Pasqual is one of the top teams in San Diego this year and off to a 5-0 start on the young season.

Teams are running away from me a lot too but I'm just trying to go out and make plays."Here to view this Link.
