Herrod down to two for last trip

Washington (D.C.) H.D. Woodson safety / wide Receiver Donta Herrod has already taken two visits and wants to take one more before making a decision. Two schools are fighting it out for that third and final slot and he will then decide between those three schools.
“Probably the first week or second week (in January), I will go to either Notre Dame or Michigan State,” he explained. “Whoever gets the open date for me first.”

Herrod has already visited Syracuse and NC State and lists both schools as high interest. The school that gets his third visit will join the ranks of these two schools and will vie for his services when he makes his decision in mid-January.
Herrod stands 6-foot-2, weighs 190 pounds, and runs the 40-yard dash in 4.4 seconds. He is rated the No. 25 prospect in the Maryland/D.C. area by Rivals.com.
As a senior he recorded 56 tackles, six interceptions, and three fumble recoveries on defense. He also added three touchdowns as a wide receiver and added two punt returns for touchdowns on special teams.
