Herring makes important decision
Batesville (Miss.) South Panola linebacker Chris Herring linebacker Chris Herring has made a decision, not a final one, but one that will help him get closer to a final pick.
"I've canceled all of my out of state visits," Herring, who was slated to visit UGA this weekend, said.

"I'm still a soft commitment to Ole Miss, but I'm not going to pick between Ole Miss and State. I'm going to probably have my final decision by Christmas."
Herring visited State last weekend and is now set to visit Ole Miss on Jan. 11. He said Mississippi State coach Jackie Sherrill is due to make his in-home visit on Monday.
"Coach is straight up and shoots you straight," Herring said. "I don't like the BS."
Herring was also interested in Auburn and Tennessee.
