Herring decides on four of five choices

"I have 21 offers now," Melbourne (Fla.) Holy Trinity Academy safety Ray Herring said. "I'm trying to get down to five schools."
"I have four, Maryland, Georgia Tech, Notre Dame, and Tennessee. I'm trying to get a fifth right now."

"I have Ohio State, but they are loaded at defensive back. Maybe Pitt. Maybe North Carolina. Or somebody else. All those schools have offered."
"I'm hoping for an offer from Florida."
"I don't have a favorite."
"We haven't had power for awhile because of the hurricane, so I'm not sure who all has called. But I have one official visit set up, Notre Dame Dec. 4. Most likely I'll visit those other three."
The 5-foot-10 and 187 pound Herring made 149 tackles, intercepted seven passes, caught 31, and averaged 27 yards per catch during his junior season. Herring is the No. 57 overall prospect in the state of Florida in the Rivals.com player rankings.
