Shaquille Green bolstered his stock at the Miami Dolphins Annual 7-on-7 Tournament, helping Miami (Fla.) Booker T. Washington to the title and earning Top Performers honors. So far Marshall is the only school to offer the 5-foot-6, 156-pound all-purpose back, and if The Herd can make their offer stick, they will appear to have found a hidden gem in Booker T.'s loaded 2015 class.
However, if Green continues to impress this summer and into the season, other schools whom he says are already talking to him may offer, including Miami, Florida International, Cincinnati, and Appalachian State.
But so far, Green seems fond of the first school to offer him. The Thundering Herd offered following a spring practice.
"I have a good relationship with the coaches," said Green, referring to offensive line coach Alex Mirabal and receivers coach Mike Furrey. "They said I can be a big playmaker in their offense. They like me at slot receiver."
Green said he plans on visiting Marshall "very soon," hoping to get there before summer's end.
He also said he intends on working hard during the offseason for more offers and admitted he wants to hear from Oregon State and Florida State. In the meantime, he said he'll take the recruiting process in stride and enjoy his senior season with Booker T. as it looks for another state title.
"I'm just going to play hard for my team," he said. "We're going after state."
