Herd lead for Maryland RB

Marshall has struggled to earn the respect many feel it deserves on the college football scene. They're out in force this recruiting season in an attempt to upgrade the talent level at some skill positions and they lead for this Maryland running back.
One of the Herd's top targets is Devin Finley, a versatile athlete from Westlake, Md. Finley is a 6-foot-2, 190-pound running back, linebacker and free safety. Coaches love his versatility and his speed -- he runs the 40-yard dash in 4.4 seconds. He's a player with great quickness and good strength.

"I have the ability to position myself well on the field to make plays, and I understand the game," he said. "I like doing the little things on the field that help a team operate more smoothly."
Right now he looks like he could be headed to the Mid-American Conference.
"Marshall is my favorite right now, I really like their program a lot" said Finley. "I also like Boston College, NC State, UConn, Florida A&M and Towson. I'm looking for a good football program, but also good academic opportunities. I've been really impressed with Marshall and the other schools I listed when it comes to that."
This summer Finley camped at Boston College and UConn and hopes to visit NC State as well. Along with the Herd, UConn is showing the most interest.
"Marshall and UConn have offered, along with Morgan State and Towson," he said. "Of the bigger programs Marshall and UConn are showing the most interest. They're really recruiting me pretty hard. I want to make my decision sometime during my senior year."
