Heisman Watch: Present and future

What he did: Boykin completed 32 of 47 passes for 388 yards and three touchdowns and also rushed for a team-high 84 yards and a touchdown in TCU's 40-10 win over West Virginia.
Comparison: Is Shawn Robinson the next Boykin? They have similar size, similar athletic ability and Robinson is rated as the second-best dual-threat quarterback in the 2017 class so he has the talent to step in with the Horned Frogs and run that offense to perfection. The Denton (Texas) Guyer QB committed to TCU in June. Boykin is probably a more accurate passer but Robinson has that special ability to escape, prolong plays and then make things happen, which has made Boykin so special at TCU.

QB
Deshaun Watson
Clemson
Deshaun Watson is on Heisman Watch. See which #Vols commit @rivalsmike compares him to: https://t.co/jiY9qncNAo
https://t.co/ZvCv5kNXPP- Rivals.com (@Rivals) November 4, 2015
What he did: Watson completed 23 of 30 passes for 383 yards with five touchdowns and he also rushed for a score in Clemson's 56-41 win over N.C. State.
Comparison: Jarrett Guarantano is injured and will miss the rest of the season but Rivals.com National Recruiting Director Mike Farrell saw the Tennessee commit earlier this season and was thoroughly impressed. The Oradell (N.J.) Bergen Catholic quarterback has the ability to extend plays, he's accurate and poised in the pocket and he can hit receivers all over the field. Before this season, Guarantano was known to be special at camps but he especially showed his talent with pads on early in his senior season before getting hurt.

WR
Corey Coleman
Baylor
What he did: Baylor was off leading into Thursday night's contest at Kansas State. Coleman has 47 receptions for 962 yards and 18 touchdowns. He averages more than 20 yards per catch.
Comparison: Mecole Hardman Jr. has tremendous athleticism and speed who can break off big plays whenever the ball comes his way. That's what the five-star athlete from Bowman (Ga.) Elbert County showed this summer at the Rivals100 Five-Star Challenge Presented by Under Armour and his game is similar to Coleman's in many ways. Hardman can take short passes and make defenders miss because he's so elusive or he can go deep and make the big, highlight-reel play.

RB
Derrick Henry
Alabama
What he did: Alabama was off leading into the LSU game this weekend. Henry has rushed for 1,044 yards and 14 touchdowns on 180 carries this season.
Comparison: Finding a running back with such tremendous size like Henry is nearly impossible but 2017 five-star Najee Harris, who happens to be committed to Alabama, is a solid comparison. The Antioch, Calif., recruit is 6-foot-2 and 222 pounds, completely comfortable with that size and arguably more athletic and versatile than Henry at the same stage. Harris leads an undefeated team and has rushed for 1,949 yards and 25 touchdowns on 154 touches this season and he's also caught three TD passes.
6
RB
Ezekiel Elliott
Ohio State
What he did: The Buckeyes were off last week leading up to their game against Minnesota this weekend. Elliott has 1,130 rushing yards and 13 touchdowns on 167 attempts this season.
Comparison: Zamir White is only in his sophomore season at Laurinburg (N.C.) Scotland County but he's already earmarked to be one of the next best running backs in the country and his early film proves why. The 6-foot, 180-pound prospect is a tough but smooth runner between the tackles who can bounce off defenders and he can break it in the open field. White has excellent vision in the hole and arguably even more speed than Elliott at the same stage.
