Russell completed 20 of 33 passes for 380 yards and five touchdowns, and he also rushed for a game-high 160 yards and a score in Baylor's 62-38 win over West Virginia this past weekend. On the season, Russell completed about 63 percent of his passes for 1,907 yards with 27 touchdowns and five picks. He also has 338 rushing yards and five scores.
3. RB Dalvin Cook, Florida State
Florida State defeated Louisville, 41-21, in a game some thought the Cardinals could win but Cook was a big factor. He finished with 163 rushing yards and two touchdowns on 22 carries. He also caught four passes for 60 yards. So far this season, Cook has 955 rushing yards and 11 total TDs and he's averaging nearly nine yards per carry.
4. RB Derrick Henry, Alabama
Henry carried the ball 32 times for 236 yards and two touchdowns (with a long of 55 yards and an average of 7.4 per carry) as Alabama downed previously undefeated Texas A&M, 41-23, in College Station. For the season, Henry has 901 rushing yards and 12 touchdowns.
5. RB Christian McCaffrey, Stanford
On Thursday night, in a 56-35 drubbing of UCLA, McCaffrey finished with 243 rushing yards and four touchdowns and two kickoff returns for 122 yards (including a 96-yarder). McCaffrey has 844 rushing yards this season but only five rushing TDs. He also leads the Cardinal with 16 receptions for 172 yards and a touchdown.
