Heimuli-Lund visits Big 12 schools

Four-star inside linebacker Sione Heimuli-Lund recently landed his dream scholarship offer from Stanford and although the Cardinal appear to be on top "by a mile," as the 2017 Rivals100 member put it, he still intends to do his homework.
That due diligence meant a swing through a pair of Big 12 schools this past weekend. The 6-foot, 230-pound prospect visited Oklahoma State on Friday and then Oklahoma, which is the only school recruiting him for its power back position.

"Oklahoma was great," Heimuli-Lund said. "I loved all the coaches and they told me I'm high on their list. It felt like hallowed grounds there with a legendary head coach and I liked that.
"Oklahoma State was amazing and I just loved being around everyone there. The staff and the facilities were second to none."
Heimuli-Lund isn't done with his research by any means. He is tentatively scheduled to visit Michigan, Michigan State and Ohio State in two weeks, though he's uncertain if that trip will happen according to plan.
The two-way standout also wants to see Arizona State, as area recruiter Chip Long has made him a priority in the 2017 cycle, and also make a stop by California this summer.
Heimuli-Lund landed his seventh offer from Colorado on Tuesday, adding the Buffaloes to a list that also includes BYU, Oregon State, Utah and Washington.
Heimuli-Lund rushed for 941 yards and eight touchdowns, and caught 22 passes for 235 yards and two scores as a sophomore last season. On the defensive side, he had 107 total tackles, seven sacks and two interceptions.
