Heimuli-Lund lines up visits

Four-star inside linebacker Sione Heimuli-Lund had a big sophomore season and caught the attention of various coaches who dropped by his school to check on highly regarded teammate Osa Masina.
The 6-foot, 230-pound prospect from Salt Lake City (Utah) Brighton already holds five scholarship offers heading into the ever-important spring evaluation period and he could be close to a few more.

Oklahoma State was the latest offer and the early Rivals100 member is set to visit there in two weeks, along with Oklahoma and Tulsa.
"I'm looking forward to seeing the facilities at Oklahoma State," Heimuli-Lund said. "The coaches have told me a lot about the facilities and they're just excited to have me down there. I can't wait to meet the whole staff and get to know everyone, really. I like how much love they've been showing me. They keep in constant contact with me and invited me to come down."
Heimuli-Lund, who had a good showing last month at the Las Vegas Rivals Camp Presented by Under Armour, is also set to visit California next weekend with teammate Jackson Kaufusi, and has a trip later this spring that includes stops at Michigan, Michigan State and Ohio State. He intends to camp with all the California schools, including Stanford, UCLA and USC, and could also swing by Arizona State.
"I want to see how the environment is at each school and meet all the coaches," Heimuli-Lund said. "I can't wait to see how I would fit there."
BYU, Oregon State, Utah and Washington are Heimuli-Lund's other offers. All the schools except Oklahoma are recruiting him for linebacker.
"Oklahoma wants me at power back and the other schools like me at inside 'backer," Heimuli-Lund said. "I'm totally fine with that. I love playing linebacker. Osa sat down with me to teach me his strategies on playing both ways and that has helped me out a lot."
Heimuli-Lund rushed for 941 yards and eight touchdowns, and caught 22 passes for 235 yards and two scores as a sophomore last season. On the defensive side, he had 107 total tackles, seven sacks and two interceptions.
