Heels or Hoos for Dias

Hackensack, N.J. linebacker Jermaine Dias has committed. So where is he headed?
"It's Virginia," said Hackensack head coach Ralph Dass of his 6-foot-2, 215-pound standout. "He's about to announce to the local media here in a few minutes."

Asked quickly why Dias chose Virginia, Dass felt it had to do with comfort level and the chance to play early.
"In that 3-4 defense, there are more slots for a linebacker so he can play early," he said. "He also really felt good about the coaches there and really felt that it was the best fit overall. He really liked North Carolina a lot so it was a tough choice and I think he was torn for awhile. He's relieved it's done."
