Hectic camp schedule for Maddox

Offensive lineman Andrew Maddox of Woodbridge (Va.) has maintained a very hectic summer camp schedule so far, and plans to continue that pace in the next week. In the meantime, Maddox continues to hold five offers, but is hoping to add to that total very soon.
"Everything is pretty good," said Maddox, who is 6-foot-5 and 271 pounds. "I'm doing lots of camps and getting good feedback."

Maddox has stayed very busy in recent weeks.
"So far I've been to Temple, Virginia Tech, East Carolina, James Madison, Delaware, Ohio, Duke, N.C. State and I'm headed to Old Dominion on Friday and William & Mary on Tuesday," said Maddox. "I have been very busy."
A few of the camps stick out to Maddox.
"I did very well at Ohio, N.C. State, Duke, James Madison and East Carolina," said Maddox. "Coach Foster wants me to come back on July 9th for another camp at Virginia Tech too. I really liked the coaches at Ohio, Virginia Tech, ECU, James Madison and N.C. State."
Maddox currently holds offers from Buffalo, Ohio, Western Michigan, Old Dominion and VMI. He is hopeful that two more schools may be close to joining that list.
"James Madison invited me to their top prospect campus day on July 24th so I am hopeful for that and I also feel strong about William & Mary," said Maddox.
Through all of these visits and camps, Maddox has begun to make a list of the important things he is looking for in a school and program.
"I am looking for a middle to big university, competitive football and good academics," said Maddox. "I am also looking for great coaches, especially the offensive line coach, because I will be with him the most out of all the coaches. I also want him to develop me to the best of my abilities."
Maddox also has a few thoughts when it comes to the timing of his final decision.
"I'd like to see what written offers come in during August, or if I feel a really good fit before then I will pull the trigger," said Maddox.
