Head Coach Visit Seels The Deal
Running back Ed Halsey committed to Illinois some time back. However after Tyrone Willingham was named head coach at Notre Dame Halsey said he might visit the Irish Jan. 18. However that is no longer the case.
"Coach Turner and (Illinois assistant) coach Cassidy were at my house tonight," Halsey said on Tuesday night. "I'm not going to visit Notre Dame. I am definitely staying with my Illinois commitment."
Halsey, 5-foot-11 and 190 pounds, rushed for 1305 yards and 25 touchdowns for Elizabeth, N.J.
