Hayworth makes a decision

It didn't take long for offensive lineman Ty Hayworth out of Kingsport (Tenn.) Dobyns Bennett. The 6-foot-4, 300-pounder made his selection yesterday.
"I committed to Coach Lobo yesterday morning," he said. "He was excited. He told me he's done recruiting linemen now and is glad to have me since he's been recruiting me since my sophomore year."

Hayworth pulled the offer on Tuesday, so what made him jump at it?
"I've been thinking about it and I can't pass up on the education it's just too much," he said. "I love the program and the coaches are great people. That's what I'm about, so I came to a realization that's where I'm going to play college football."
Hayworth went deeper on Wake's staff.
"It's just how they run things, how they recruit, all the guys they get have to have good character and I'm really excited about it," he said. "Coach Grobe is a great guy. He's a great coach and he talked to me for quite a while when I came to camp and they told me they were going to offer me. He's been an amazing coach and I'm very confident we'll have a good time when we're up there."
Wake Forest is recruiting Hayworth as an offensive tackle.
"Coach Lobo said they are only taking three tackles this year," he said. "He told me I wasn't 6-foot-6, but I have quick feet and can move in pass pro, I can easily play tackle."
Hayworth plans to enroll at Wake Forest on-time next summer.
