Haynes ready to turn it up

Most people are well aware of his quarterback at Mansfield (Texas) Summit, John Chiles, but receiver Bradley Haynes is certainly getting his fair share of recruiting interest as well.
While Chiles has picked up offers, the 6-foot-3, 203-pound Haynes shouldn't have to wait much longer considering the amount of mail he's getting. Several schools from around the country are showing some serious interest.

"Oklahoma State has sent me some mail and I've also gotten some stuff from Florida, Iowa, UConn, and TCU," Haynes said about his recruitment thus far. "It's hard to tell who is a favorite though. I don't know enough about each school to have a favorite. I like TCU and Oklahoma State a lot."
Both the in-state school and the Big 12 south team have peaked his interest for different reasons.
"OSU just a program that I like," Haynes said. "Their head coach, he's one I know that will be there for a while. It seems like they know where they're going to be in a few years. It's a program on the rise."
"TCU is close enough to home where I can come back on the weekends and it seems like they too are getting better every year. It's not too big of a school, but not too small. It's nice in the middle."
Haynes says he's more of a possession type of receiver who possess deceptive speed and soft hands.
"The corners always try to come up and jam me at the line, but then they don't realize I'm past them already down field," Haynes said. "I also love to go up and get the ball in the back of the endzone."
Haynes made his way, along with Chiles, to the Rivals.com Junior Day in Dallas last weekend. Other than that, he's tossed around the idea of a couple of camps.
"It's really important for me to make some combines and then of course participate in some 7-on-7 tournaments," he said. "We ran more of a run-oriented type of offense last year, so I didn't have the year I expected or wanted to have."
"This year, I'm excited because we're going to spread it out some more. Hopefully all of my hard work will help us click out there."
