Hayes has two favorites

Tucker, Ga. offensive guard Alexander Hayes has a handful of offers. The 6-foot-3, 280-pounder landed his latest not long ago from the Big East and has a variety of other programs highly interested.
"I have offers from Syracuse, East Carolina, Georgia State, Tulane and UCF," he said. "Syracuse offered me most recently, last week."

Hayes discussed the new offer from the Orange.
"I looked into the offensive line coach there and I really like his resume," he said. "He has had six pro-bowlers and their offensive line coach really likes me."
To date, Hayes has visited Central Florida and Georgia State, and also plans to head to Tulane sometime soon.
Meanwhile, Vanderbilt and Ole Miss are monitoring the Peach State prospect.
"I went down to Vanderbilt and they are pretty stacked on the offensive line," he said. "Ole Miss wants to offer, but there is a lot of controversy on who is staying and leaving on the line."
At this time, two schools stick out, one of which is in the SEC.
"I would really enjoy it if Vanderbilt offered me," he said. "That is one I'm big on. It's close to home and my parents could see me play. They are also in one of the best conferences in the SEC and they are building a nice program. They have new facilities and the education can carry me far in the long run."
The other program that is making an impact with Hayes is from the Big East.
"Also, I like Syracuse. As I said, I looked at the depth chart and there's a good chance of playing early by my sophomore year. They also have a great coaching staff and it's a great place."
Hayes is obviously evaluating his options and discussed what he is looking for in a college.
"I really want playing time," he said. "I like to play football and I want to be on the field early. I want to really make an impact. Education is another big thing since football is not going to last forever. I want to go right into my career after college."
