Hawley sets first visit

One of the state's top offensive lineman this past season was Anaheim (Calif.) Esperanza's Joe Hawley. Hawley has drawn comparisons to some of the schools finest offensive linemen including NFL veteran Brendan Stai and the athlete will take his first official visit in two weeks.
Hawley, 6-2, 270 pounds had a great senior season earning several post season honors. He was the Sunset league lineman of the year, 1st team all-Orange County, 1st team all-Southern Section from the L.A Times and will likely earn some all-state recognition as well.

The lineman finished the year with 48 decleaters and was the only player on the team to play both ways. We had Hawley out for the CaliFlorida Bowl last week and he played well. He was a late addition to the team and took a day or two to adjust to the tempo of the practices and a new offense, but once he settled in, showed why he's one of the state's best offensive lineman.
On the recruiting front, Hawley received early written offers from Wisconsin and UNLV but the Badgers have backed off in recent weeks.
"The main two I'm hearing from now are UNLV and Arizona," Hawley said. "I'm going to visit UNLV on (Jan. 13) and I would like to visit Arizona as well but I haven't set up a date with them yet. I don't know when I'll make my decision but it will probably be after I take a few trips first."
