Chandler Hawkins is taking another official visit this weekend and the three-star defensive back could take his recruitment all the way to National Signing Day.
The Bellflower (Calif.) St. John Bosco standout has been committed to Air Force since early August, but he will take a final trip to Navy this weekend.
"I'm actually taking my official visit to Navy," Hawkins said. "I'm going to check that out and see what's going on there.
"If nothing else happens between now and Wednesday my decision will come down to Navy and Air Force."
The 5-foot-11, 180-pound three-star had a great senior season and helped lead his team to an undefeated campaign and a state championship.
Other programs have reached out to Hawkins but no new offers have come in recently. Some coaches at St. John Bosco have also reached out to colleges to gauge late interest.
Hawkins said he remains committed to Air Force and things will be determined even further after his Navy visit, but that he'll keep his options open as Signing Day gets closer.
"There hasn't been much," Hawkins said. "I talked to Vanderbilt and UAB. Coach (Don) Price has been in contact with some schools too, so I just have to touch base with him. Other than that, there hasn't been much.
"I would be open to it. I would still be open to hearing what schools have to say and what they thought about me. I would want to see how they see me fitting in their program so I would still be open to all schools if they were interested."
